Free English Language Learning Classes:

Many organizations offer free or low-cost English Language Learning classes for anyone living in Canada.

Sage Seniors Association offer free drop-in classes for seniors to meet one another and practise their English.

The Edmonton Public Library organizes drop-in conversation circles open to all.

Stay tuned for English Language Learning classes offered within the Ukrainian community.

Students and professionals may wish to take English as a Second Language for credit at a post-secondary institution such as MacEwan University, University of Alberta, add Nait. Note that these courses may come at an additional cost.

Ukrainian Bilingual Schools (Українська Двомовна Програма):

Edmonton Catholic Schools, Edmonton and the Elk Island School District, Sherwood Park offer a Ukrainian Bilingual Program at select Elementary, Jr. High, and High Schools. Students will be in a classroom with Ukrainian speaking teachers and peers and select subjects will be taught in Ukrainian.

There are also many Ukrainian pre-schools, kindergartens, and Saturday morning Ukrainian language and culture schools located in the city of Edmonton.
