A daily parade of uncomfortable politicians responding to an existential world crisis with “democracy bromides” and “freedom platitudes”, while military planners react with catatonic stupor unable to provide our political leaders with any creative policy options, preferring instead to default at first opportunity to mumbo-jumbo NATO talking points.
